Update on ministries...

Praise God for what he is doing!!!! Last week at basketball, we had 4 unbelievers there, all of which said they would return. I would ask that you would continue to pray during your lunchtime on Wednesday as this is the time that we are playing and developing these relationships.
We will be having a "American-style" Christmas party for English speakers this Sunday evening. Our entire team has been working hard to prepare for this. We have passed out many fliers and even put an ad in the local paper. We are also developing plans for our international church start beginning in a few weeks. Check the link on our blog for Compass International Fellowship!!
Praise God for our new friends!!! We had a couple over Thursday night and it was a great time of fellowship. They both speak pretty good English and they said that they want to get together more often. They were very encouraging as they told us the that the buzz around our apt. building is all about us...especially the way we introduced ourselves when we first got here (going to each apt. with cookies). They think that we are the start of something new maybe in our building, as far as fellowship and getting together with our neighbors. This is not common here, yet we were told that there is the desire from those in our building to do this. We are also opening our home every Monday night for coffee, tea, and conversation.
One last thing, I am in the planning stages of a "3-on-3" basketball tournament that we will be having the first or second week of February. There is a perfect gym right outside the town square that is very nice and not very expensive. I will be meeting with the director on Tuesday to discuss our plans.
Thanks again for your continued prayers!!!!
