Let me begin by giving a summary of September.
September...
Rachel was quite busy at the beginning of the month as she prepared for a women's conference. There was a group of pastor's wives that were coming from the States and Rachel was responsible for the set up of this conference. It ended up being a great success as over 5o women attended.
The Krakow Tigers had their last game of the season on the 15th...we traveled to Gdansk and played the team that would eventually win the Polish Super Bowl this year. Overall, the season was disappointing if you look at the win/loss column, but I feel, along with the players, that they are getting better. I am grateful for the many friends that I have made on the team!
McKenna and I continue doing the basketball thing...It is definitely different...the only month in which we have off is the month of July. It has been great though...McKenna is "little miss popular" on the team! All the girls love her and she loves them as well. With me helping the Junior team and McKenna's team, we are finally starting to settle into a routine for our week. One of the biggest differences in our "work" schedule is the actual time of day we do things. Most of our days are flip-flopped with our afternoons and evenings being the most crowded!
Philip started kindergarten and Claire started back to Polish pre-school during the month as well. Philip is going 5 days a week and Claire 2. It has been amazing at how much of the Polish language Philip has picked up. It is neat to see him communicate with other Polish children! Please pray for their continued adaptation.
The second half of the month, Rachel's parents were able to come for their second visit. It was such a blessing to see them again! This time seemed to be more relaxing as we weren't pressed for time to show them the city and how we live. They even seemed like they were professional "European travelers" this time. Grandaddy even ventured out into the city by himself on several occasions.

McKenna also enjoyed her first birthday overseas...11 years old...so hard to believe (she is becoming quite the young lady). Some American friends of ours have opened up an "American-style" cookie shop here and so we were able to surprise her by having some of her friends there to celebrate her birthday!
