Catching up...

Yes, I know it has been a while since my last update, so I wanted to catch everyone up on what has been happening! The last two weeks of February Rachel's parents were here visiting. It was a complete joy to have them here! The kids especially had a blast. It was so neat for family to be able to see where we live and how we live. We spent alot of time showing them around the city, introducing them to Polish cuisine, doing some ministry, traveling to Zakopane and Auschwitz, introducing them to Polish cuisine, playing in the snow (not), and introducing them to more Polish cuisine. Grandaddy especially loved the bakery, close to our apartment and Grandmommy enjoyed going to "Babcia Maliny's" (Grandma Raspberry's) on several occasions. I mentioned going to Zakopane (Polish Gatlinburg in the Tatra Mountains)...this was the only place that they were able to see any snow. From what we have been told, this has been an unusual winter from the standpoint of snow...we had some early, but it has been dry for almost two months. We also took them to Auschwitz one day, which I will write on in the next post. They also got here just in time to celebrate Claire's third birthday. It was a great day and it is hard to believe our baby is three. She is getting so big and her vocabulary is expanding by the moment. She is definitely all girl as she is into princess stuff, makeup, dressup, and telling us 40 times a day that her hair is growing longer. Below are a few pics of Claire's birthday and Joel and Diane's visit...

anyone notice a trend in the last two pictures???
