WOW!!! What a blessing this group was!! Each day we promoted baseball for kids in one of our local parks...what a huge success...we had 50-70 kids show up every day! God opened the door for a new contact out of this time spent with a group of kids! The local director of the YMCA just happened to have a group there the first day and he invited us to use the gym at the "Y" for the next day in case of rain! That's exactly what happened two days later...we had rain and so we took the team to the "Y"!! Out of this, the director wants to form a relationship with us so that we can have regular involvement in sports activities there at the "Y"!!!
In the evenings the girls worked with the baseball team that we have started under the umbrella of the Krakow Tigers Football Team! This also was an incredible time as the girls worked hard on fundamentals all week! They were able to spend alot of time with the guys on the team after practice each evening!! Alot of great conversations took place with many of these young men!! You will notice in the pictures below...we are not actually practicing on a baseball field, mainly because there is not one in Krakow! So, we are using abandoned tennis courts behind an army recreation facility!
It was so incredible to see God's love shine through each of the girls and the leaders of their group!! Thanks so much...Lindsey, Becca, Kayla, Becca, Savannah, Amy, Jeff, Carolyn, Lou, and Tracy!! We look forward to seeing you guys come back again!!

...girls getting ready to pass out fliers their first day!!
...first day of camp
...school group that said they would come back for the 2nd day of camp!
Savannah doing a dance in honor of Michael Jackson!
...several of our basketball players showed up each day to help translate!!
Lindsey, Claire, & Kayla
I really should have mentioned to the girls that pigeons can carry up to 87 diseases at one time...you girls feelin' ok???
Rachel...in her element!!
The softball team with some of our Wisla girls!!
Tracy took this opportunity to teach Claire some life lessons...actually, she was trying to talk him into moving...the popsicles were inside the trunk!!
...at the "Y"
...before practice one afternoon!
The last day, we decided to have a scrimmage with the baseball team...this is coach Albert giving his pregame speech...I think he looks a little like Lasorda!!
...the girls were short a few players and so McKenna had to step in and play!!
...after each practice, the girls would give out a signed ball to the hardest working player that day...this day they gave out two and McKenna was the recipient of one of these balls!!
...Say "Keys" (at least that is what the Cuban on our baseball team said)

On Saturday, we had grill out at the park where we had been working all week! The girls all had a chance to answer some pretty funny questions as well as some serious questions!! All ears were attentive!!

...this is when Savannah was trying to talk me into dumping the cooler of water on Tracy...of course, I was totally against it and I was completely surprised by the fact that she would even entertain the thought of involving me in such a heinous crime!!
I would also like to mention that Jeff's wife, Carolyn, is a professional photographer and so most of these pictures were taken by her. She also volunteered her services to take some family photos...I'll post them in the next blog!
