Rachel and I celebrated our 14th anniversary today and we were able to have a wonderful evening!! We dropped the kiddos off at Seba and Erin's and went to a fancy-smancy restaurant on the square. One of my football players is a waiter there and he was able to get us in (he gave us a 20% discount and free desert).
You would think that with me being from Tennessee and eating all that wild game, such as deer and possum, I would have tried duck before. However, tonight was my first experience and it was definitely all that it was "quacked" up to be!! Rachel had the Fettuccine Alfredo and it was marvelous as well. For desert, we had the best Tiramisu I have ever eaten!
We had a truly marvelous time, however we found it quite humorous for us to be in this elegant restaurant listening to George Michael the entire time!
We also had a little extra time to walk around the Rynek (old town square) beforehand. Sylwester (Silvester) is what they call New Year's Eve here and it is a HUGE deal!
