Christmas Season Happenings!!!

Polish schools are big into the arts and music and there has been no exception in Claire's school. The program they had this year was...get ready for this...wait for it...A Disney Christmas (my own words of course). Not only did the wise men and the shepherds visit the manger, but apparently Winnie the Pooh, Little Red Riding Hood, Merlin, and a bevy of other characters joined in. Really one of the strangest things I have ever seen!!

The kids also put on a Christmas play at our International Church...Polish and American kids participated!!

Our neighbors surprised us one evening by showing up at our door and playing music...It was very impressive as you can tell by the video below!

Our international church also sponsored a party at a local orphanage...we played games, had crafts, gave away candy and gifts, and the kids put on the Christmas play again!!

For the first time ever...Santa was actually at the mall!! It was hilarious to see how the Polish people responded to this! In most cases in the States, in order to see Santa, you usually have to spend some amount of time in a line. Well, here, we just walked right up to Santa, sat in his lap and took as many photos as possible! The really cool thing was Santa actually spoke English!!
