Ministry-related items...

I am starting to become more involved in ministry...We have started an open-gym night on Wednesday evenings in which anyone is invited to play basketball. We are trying to get the word out as we are in the planning stages for a 3-on-3 tournament the first week of February. We continue to seek the Lord's guidance as we search the many different ideas of how to reach people with the Gospel through sports. We are exploring the possibility of starting leagues and using other sports as well.

I had an interesting meeting with the President/Head Coach of the Krakow Tigers on Wednesday. This is an "American-style" football team here in Krakow. They are one of five teams in all of Poland. This young man, born and raised in Krakow, played at a high school in NY for 3 years and he has a passion for seeing this sport grow in Poland. He is an extremely friendly person, with good morals...His desire is to see families come together to watch this style of football and get the younger kids interested in it. Long-story-short...He knows why we are here and is excited to partner with us. He has a serious interest in having us help him in some of the coaching responsibilities...we are going to their practice tomorrow!! When the idea of coaching crossed my mind, basketball was what I would think about, so please pray that I will be willing to go through the doors God is opening. I know enough about football to be harmful!!!

God is continuing to work in all aspects of sports...We have a college basketball team already committed to coming this summer; other possible college teams for volleyball and baseball as well; and now the possibility of adding something football related.

Other ministries that we will soon be involved in are: coffee house...we are needing musicians, bands, etc... to fill spots on weekends; International fellowship that our team is starting on Sunday nights after the first of the year.

So here is my real quick plug...If you are a musician or know one that might be interested in a short-term trip, please contact me. If you are interested in something sports-related or know of individuals or coaches that may be interested in short-term trips, please contact me.

If you are interested in helping out with these and many other ministries in any way, please feel free to contact me and I will let you know how you can be a blessing!!!

It is late and I am going to bed now!!!!!!!!!!
